Innovation presentation

The emergence of digital and mobile technology has accelerated the digital economy, yet it only contributes 4% of Indonesia’s economic growth. The government targets that by 2024, 24% of Indonesia’s economy will be supplied by digital. Throughout history, MSMEs have always been the backbone and dominated 99.9% of Indonesia’s economy. Surprisingly, only 21% of MSMEs in Indonesia are exposed to online commerce. BCA envisions that MSMEs will still play an important role for Indonesia's economy, as long as they are given adequate support and resources. The objective of this innovation is to advance BCA’s contribution in social purpose, to be the pioneer in sustainable initiative to support and to survive MSMEs by building online ecosystem, from developing online commerce (MSME Online Fest), soft skill upgrade through continuous education, to breakthrough marketing activation (Bangga Lokal - Local Pride Product Marketplace). The program is carefully designed starting from business and product development, facilitation of seamless transactions, to business matching sessions to help expand MSMEs business to the International market, which is impossible without strong support from worldwide trustable institutions like BCA. Through these initiatives, BCA is committed always to be by our MSME customers' side by delivering continuous, not one-off, support for MSMEs. The result is satisfying, we engage with more than 2,000 MSMEs, match open trade partnership to 121 potential buyers across 5 continents and collect IDR 83 billion transactions within 7 months (average transaction incremental by 84% per month).
