In term of asset, CIMB Niaga is the second largest private bank in Indonesia. In 2022, with more than 400 branches across the country, 4400 ATMs and CDMs, around 900 CRMs, and 37 Digital Lounges, CIMB Niaga continues to serve millions of customers. Not only retail, CIMB Niaga has a wide segmentations of customer ranging from retail and preferred, Emerging Business Banking (EBB), Commercial Banking and Corporate Banking. CIMB Niaga offers comprehensive tailored product from savings, personal loans, mortgage, auto loan, credit card, deposits, bancassurance, wealth management and treasury. CIMB Niaga is considered as a leading bank in Indonesia banking industry especially in digital banking innovations. Founded in 1955, throughout the years, CIMB Niaga has launched a significant number of innovative products and services. Always become the first bank to introduce new service and product in the country such as the innovation of Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in 1987, the first mobile banking in Indonesia: Octo Mobile was launched in 2012, the first bank that implement a phone number – based account called Rekening Ponsel in 2013. Account opening is only done through customer service, and to activate, customers need to deposit money via teller. The most uncomfortable user experience is to queue and the account opening process itself which also took time. Due to high demands of account opening, waiting is inevitable. The breakthrough of SSB or Self Service Banking, cuts this unnecessary process. Self Service Banking or SSB is an account opening machine that was built by CIMB Niaga internally. We assembled all the parts from personal computer, ID card reader, and card printer. With SSB, Customer is able to visit the digital branch and use SSB to open account in only 5 minutes. In addition, customer do not have to deposit cash via teller but straight away cash in via CRM/ATM or transfer via another bank to activate the savings account.
