Value-added services are an important element in enriching and making the main offer more attractive – nowadays also in banks. In order to unify and accelerate the implementation of services added in PKO BP, the VAS-HUB platform was created – offering: a universal software interface for suppliers (API), a central database of implemented products, and a unified purchase and service channel for customers on the other hand.

Innovation presentation

Our Value Added Services platform in a unique way combines the API Economy, trend regarding mega-apps, subscription-based model of offering digital services, bundling many services together, helps in embedding banking in a daily life of our customer. It created many benefits for the bank and for our customers. From the PKO BP bank perspective: 1) It drastically shortened our time-to-market for VAS offerings: we do not struggle for a year+ with implementing new VAS: we are able to offer a new service in a period of 2-3 months 2) It creates a new stream of income 3) It creates a way of customer loyalty (based on bundles and subscriptions) and makes us more attractive for the new customers From the perspective of our client: 1) It creates a marketplace of wide offering of value added services, in a convenient GUI, that our customer uses anyway, every day 2) It simplifies purchasing VAS by allowing the simple payments, straight from the banking account (no need to top up the wallet) 3) It offers VAS with better prices than the wide market Our platform is the first of a kind in banking environment, in Poland and in the region.
