With 2.9 billion social media users in Asia as of January 20231, social media is the undisputed channel to reach the masses. Rather than expecting clients to make an effort to come to our banking apps, we make it more convenient for clients by bringing our banking services to their everyday apps. Our Natural Language Processing chatbot offers differentiated equities services via clients’ preferred messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp) in a conversational and friendly manner, as though served by a personal RM. Clients can be advised of stock information and DBS insights, receive price alerts via WhatsApp, and be nudged into action by timely intelligent recommendations. Clients can also initiate trades, which will trigger the DBS digibank app for biometrics authentication to complete the trade, with fields pre-filled at client’s discretion (i.e. clients can choose to initiate a trade without revealing transactional information to the bot as well).
