Yongo is a fully online platform for children’s savings answering the customers pain points on financial planning, saving goals prioritization and underlines the importance of savings. Yongo wants to play a role in de financial education of children. Through the platform approach, Yongo enables a child’s network (grand/parents, godfather/mother, family/friends) to support realizing the child’s savings projects and dreams by making contributions to the short time and long time savings goals of the child. The platform allows parents and children to define those goals, invite friends/family to contribute to those goals, send party invitations, send thank you messages ,… All this in a fun and educational way, offering a concept that has relevance at different moments of the child’s life and that provides frequent interactive dynamics between the members of the child’s community. Specific content on savings and gamification teaches parents and child the value of money and the importance of savings. Yongo is an unrivaled concept combining short and long term financial savings products activated by a multi-device platform allowing a fully digital experience from engagement over subscription to money-out. Identification, authentication, e-signature, e-payment, MIFID/FATCA-requirements were integrated within the digital customer experience. The platform-approach allows a multiplication of the contributions to the savings account of the child resulting in increased share of wallet. In building this platform, different departments of AG Insurance (IT, Program Management, Legal, Product Development,…) collaborated in an agile way delivering a new piece of technology that transforms the way customers buy life insurance products.
