Driven by a changing climate, extreme weather continues to put our customers at risk. As a leading Global Property & Casualty insurer, we can help mitigate this risk and expand our protection offering to customers by giving them the advice and tools they need to proactively prepare for severe weather. WeatherReady is a new digital tool that guides homeowners through a step-by-step process to assess and improve their home’s readiness against wildfire, tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, and winter storms. The experience includes a short assessment and then utilizes science-backed recommendations to create an action plan for customers. We then pair those recommendations with step-by-step DIY instructions or with a reputable service contractor sourced from our vast network of partners and strategic venture investments (e.g. Super, Realm, Homee, etc.). WeatherReady is currently available to customers via our Liberty+ digital value-added services website, and is also available in the Liberty Mutual App.
Uniqueness of the project
Although information on building weather resilience exists, WeatherReady is the first digital tool to leverage customer-provided inputs to deliver a custom plan which is then paired with recommended products and services to empower customers to take immediate action.
