LISA Insurance has developed the first digital solution to insure recycling industries in a fair way: with customized premiums, proportionate and adapted to the real risks of each company. We have created an intelligent platform, powered by IoT technology, to measure with absolute precision 24/7 the risks of each company, and thus offer these industries a premium proportionate to those risks.

Innovation presentation

More than 1,800 recycling companies in Spain lack insurance to protect their facilities, environmental liability... And, above all, their workers. Insurers impose high premiums and disproportionate deductibles for recycling industry policies, often with premiums of more than 300,000 €.

To cover this lack of insurance, which forces many companies in this sector to self-insure, LISA Seguros has developed the first digital solution to insure recycling industries in a fair way: with proportional premiums adapted to the real risks of each company.

We have created an intelligent platform, whose advanced technology measures with absolute precision and in a personalized way the risks, to obtain proportional and honest premiums.

In this way, LISA Seguros becomes part of the ecosystem and contributes to ensuring investment and the development of the sustainable economy, in line with objective number 12 of the Spanish Government's 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy.

Uniqueness of the project

LISA Seguros has partnered with Libelium, a leading company in the Internet of Things (IoT), to develop the most advanced, efficient and complete insurance platform for recycling companies. A control and sensorization device that optimizes resources and allows maximum precision in the measurement and control of risks.

All information on the company's recycling facilities is centralized in the LISA Seguros platform, which integrates all data in a single dashboard. Interconnected in real time with the IoT monitoring device, it allows the policyholder to visualize all the data sent by the sectors. In addition, an advanced weather monitoring system provides metrics for monitoring CO2 emissions, temperature, humidity and pressure, with alerts to anticipate any risk.

The light and motion sensors and the geolocation of the facilities put all the data at the company's disposal and offers in a single panel a total control of the status of their facilities and insurance.

In this way we provide our policyholders with the highest level of security and a proportionate premium that adjusts to their real risks.
