Innovation presentation

The key element of this initiative was to create a complementary health ecosystem for patients of PZU Zdrowie medical facilities. Our goal was implementation of an IT system that would allow a patient to start the treatment process as quickly as possible and recover successfully.

The patient portal has already allowed for a quick arrangement of appointments at PZU Zdrowie medical facilities, obtain a diagnosis and have a doctor prescribe medications.

The last element was the implementation of an innovative system for booking medicinal products in a chosen pharmacy located in the patient’s neighborhood.

The implementation of the medicinal products ordering system allowed to shorten time between noticing the first health symptoms and start of a treatment. It also completed the patient portal functions so that all health-related matters were in one application.

Regarding telemedical visits the time from arranging an appointment to purchasing medications and starting treatment may even take less than an hour.

The new functionality is available to all users of myPZU (mojePZU) portal, which is a self-service system for PZU Group clients. A patient can easily check the availability, location and stock and price of medicinal product. In order to fulfill a prescription, a patient needs to simply log in the patient portal and book a medicinal product at the pharmacy of their choice. When the product is ready to collect, a confirmation is sent via SMS to the patient. The payment is made directly in the pharmacy.

Over-the-counter products can be booked at any time - together with prescribed medicines or separately.
