In a market where traditional insurance players struggle to excel in the value of their services, Prima takes the challenge head on. By leveraging analytics, user experience, artificial Intelligence and latest-generation algorithms developed in-house, Prima’s mission is to use technology and data analysis to offer customers a ‘Great Experience, Great Price’: an experience without precedent at highly competitive prices.
This UK launch was supported by extensive research into Prima’s expansion outside of Italy, and through Prima’s internal Research and Development hub.
Uniqueness of the project
The Research and Development hub, defined by its international footprint, is the laboratory where Prima’s innovation is born, with the aim of creating the ‘the insurance of the future’. More than 300 developers, engineers and data scientists at global level work on testing and continually fine-tuning algorithms and proprietary software. It means that about a third of Prima staff is involved in technology, UX and data analysis. All the software used by Prima, from marketing to underwriting, from portfolio management to claims management, is developed in-house, and up to 20 new functions implemented every day on the IT platforms, with zero down time.
