As the Bonus credit card brand that offers Turkey's strongest loyalty program, we always aim to offer pioneering and cutting-edge products to our customers and make a difference in the experience.

We aimed to offer our customers a differentiated payment experience by issuing Turkey's first biometric credit card under the Bonus Platinum brand.

Especially during the pandemic, both speed and hygiene have become an important priority for our customers. Considering these needs and wishes of our customers, we decided that we wanted to offer them biometric credit cards.

During this journey, we first examined foreign examples since there were no examples in Turkey. We examined market research and survey results in Turkey. We held meetings with suppliers who also took part in international projects.

After choosing the supplier we would work with, we decided how we would position the product, who we would offer it to, how we would deliver it, what privileges we would offer, and how we would guide the customer in the least difficult way regarding this technology that does not exist in Turkey.

In this project,us product managers; our technology employees, our legal and compliance teams, our brand management teams, our card supplier and our agency worked together. Trainings were given to all sales teams (call center, branç employees) so that they could learn the product and answer customers' questions.

So, what is a Biometric credit card? A biometric credit card is a credit card that allows customers to confirm their identity with biometric data, fingerprints, rather than a password or signature. A fast and safe contactless payment experience was offered to customers by verifying their identities with their fingerprints for all purchases, regardless of the amount.

Biometric credit card, which is a first in Turkey, has attracted great attention and continues to do so. Even though not even a month has passed since the commercial was released, approximately 4000 credit cards have been sold. We offered our customers speed, a feeling of prestige and greater security. Since they do not have to enter their PIN codes anymore we also offered them more hygiene.
