Year-in-review summaries have become a staple in industry calendars. In 2025, mBank joined this trend as the first Polish bank to do so.
How does the summary work in the mobile app?
After logging into the mobile app, clients saw a widget labeled “Let’s sum up the year. See how your 2024 went.” Upon clicking the widget, an animation launched, showing clients insights such as the total amount of incoming funds to their account in 2024, the category where they spent the most, the month with the highest income, and their average monthly spending.
But that’s not all. We also reminded our customers how many years they’ve been with our bank, how many times they logged into the mobile app, and their most frequently used payment method — whether by phone, card, or BLIK.
On the final screen of mBank Wrapped, there was a button labeled “Go to further analysis,” which directed clients to the Finance Manager. This section provides a detailed breakdown of transactions in a clear and user-friendly format (using charts and icons), a budgeting feature, and a “My Assets” section.
Within just 6 days of launching the year-in-review, 500,000 people had already viewed their financial “memories.” Over the full period the feature was available, more than 1.8 million users engaged with it.
