Concept & Objectives

Screen Care was developed to reinvent bancassurance distribution by embedding screen protection directly into BNPL lending journeys. Instead of offering traditional add-on insurance, we redesigned the credit flow to integrate relevant, demand-driven coverage for smartphone users — including used devices.

Reasons Behind the Initiative Conventional bank cross-sell products were facing declining engagement and limited scalability. Customers showed low interest in generic insurance bundles. We identified an opportunity to align protection with actual consumer behavior and credit usage. State of Competition Traditional bancassurance models rely on manual processes, call-center-driven claims, and standardized products with limited differentiation. Used devices are typically excluded. Distribution remains product-push rather than experience-driven. Innovation Model In partnership with a newly established embedded insurer and its sister bank, we integrated screen protection into BNPL loans. Customers could benefit from reduced interest rates while securing coverage for their existing smartphones. Aon structured the reinsurance program and provided the digital infrastructure, including a fully automated and AI based claims platform that allows to manage whole process without any human effort in seconds.

Main Results

• 500,000 policies issued annually

• Loss ratio maintained at approximately 4%
