Avanade, in partnership with Efma, have recently completed research into the sustainability challenges facing banks. Based on online research and nine 1:1 interviews with leading banks, we looked at banks’ readiness to handle ESG reporting and disclosure, their ability to build models to stress test climate risk and how ready they were for regulatory review. Over the next six months The European Central Bank will be testing banks through a variety of climate risk scenarios – so this is a real and current concern.
