Overview

It’s already been a few years since ESG became a trend in financial services industry both from the perspectives of corporate social responsibility as well as from the perspective of how these standards will impact banking business. Following recent and future regulations, this trend is becoming a ‘must-do’ and many SME bankers rely on internal ESG and compliance teams to take a lead and set internal standards to follow. However, in SME banking, it’s not just about decarbonization of clients portfolio or adjusting the product to "greener" customers. Those SMEs will be forced to apply similar ESG standards sooner or later. And regardless of whether it’ll become a must-have approach, or by their own choice and desire to be good citizens, they’ll be looking for reliable partners that can give them a hand and navigate them for sustainable future.

This SME Banking Community event is specifically designated to explore ESG in SME Banking together, and be inspired by best practices to give ideas on how it can be done and what business opportunities it generates for the future.
