Major Spanish banks have long been known as innovation and digital transformation leaders. "Spanish banks regularly sweep up awards, leaving no room for doubt in their abilities," says Qorus’ Philippe Van Fraechem, who chose to relaunch our Learning Expeditions in Spain - more specifically in Barcelona and Madrid.
Privileged visitors will see the doors to the country’s major banks open to them, on this exceptional tour. Our hosts will present their most innovative projects, their way of operating and of course to network directly with their guests. " We are offering participants a real opportunity to get under the skin of these institutions, to share and connect directly with the people who make the difference to millions of customers. A truly unique for those lucky enough to join," confirms Van Fraechem.
The group will be welcomed to three of CaixaBank’s key locations of (“All-in-One” branch, “imaginCafé”, and the “Insights Center”) and by BBVA, Banco Santander, and Banc Sabadell’s innovation teams.
We will also visit smaller banks whose success has impressed including MyInvestor - a neo-bank that is catering to HNWI - the Spanish subsidiary of NiCKEL - which offers a banking solution that is accessible to all and is sold in local shops - and Pibank - a mobile bank from Ecuador’s Banco Pichincha. "There is a lot to learn from these three success stories and it is one of the objectives of this learning expedition to offer a maximum of inspiration to its participants" confirms Van Fraechem. "I can't give names, but many concrete projects have come out of these learning expeditions!"
Because inspiration can come from anywhere, participants will explore the WOW Concept, a trendy retailer where physical and digital come together, and the Barça Innovation Hub, which helps the infamous football team to reduce risk in an extremely unpredictable industry. "Inspiration often comes from other industries, so it's important to show these very exciting spots. But what I would like to add is that Learning Expeditions are great human adventures. I am always amazed at how people who don't know each other become the best of friends in only a few days creating strong international networks. It's quite rewarding," says Van Fraechem.
The learning expedition to Spain will take place from 8 to 12 May in Barcelona and Madrid. Find out more about the program and book your place
