FWD Insurance and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) have taken a bold step toward enhancing financial literacy among Malaysia’s youth. On December 6, the Camp Millionaire programme, a nationwide initiative designed for primary school students, kicked off. It culminated in a grand finale on December 7, marking the successful completion of its first phase. This immersive financial education camp, developed by Little Tauke, brought together 100 outstanding participants from schools across the country, equipping them with essential financial knowledge and skills.
Reaching beyond urban centers
In collaboration with Little Tauke, FWD Insurance and BSN introduced the "Know Your Money" programme. This initiative has already impacted over 1,000 students in 20 schools, extending its reach to urban and rural communities alike. Aimed at children aged 10 to 12, the programme aligns with Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) mandate to improve financial literacy nationwide. By leveraging BSN’s extensive school networks and Little Tauke’s expertise, Camp Millionaire has laid a robust foundation for financial well-being among Malaysia's youth.
A shared vision for financial inclusion
Mak See Sen, CEO of FWD Insurance, emphasized the programme’s importance: “Financial literacy is not just a skill; it’s a gateway to a brighter future. Our partnership with BSN and Little Tauke accelerates efforts to empower Malaysian youth, promoting financial inclusion and confidence.” BSN’s CEO, Jay Khairil, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the broader mission of fostering a financially resilient and inclusive Malaysia.
Through Camp Millionaire, FWD Insurance and BSN reaffirm their commitment to shaping a generation that is confident in navigating financial complexities, ensuring no Malaysian is left behind in the journey toward a sustainable and inclusive future.
