Sumeria introduces interactive calendar and smart spending insights in app update
French mobile bank adds visual tools, merchant tracking, and personalized account details.
Sumeria, the French mobile bank, has rolled out a series of updates to its app aimed at helping users better visualize and understand their spending habits. The latest features include a calendar-based transaction history, enhanced data visualizations, and more detailed account information—all designed to bring greater clarity and control to personal finances.
Calendar view reinvents transaction history
A standout addition is the new transaction history calendar, now available in the “Payments” tab. This calendar replaces the traditional linear bank statement with a more visual, intuitive format. Users can quickly see how much they’ve spent each day, thanks to a color-coding system that darkens with higher daily spending. Brand logos also appear on days where a single merchant dominates spending, offering instant recognition of habits.
This approach allows users to ask questions like, “When did I spend the most?” or “Where did I spend money on a particular date?”—and get immediate visual answers. It’s a striking shift toward a more interactive way of engaging with financial data.
Visual spending trends and merchant insights
Sumeria is also enhancing how users track their spending over time. Clients subscribed to Sumeria+ can now access customizable spending charts directly from the Payments tab. These graphs break down expenses by category and time period—daily, weekly, or monthly—offering personalized trend analysis at a glance.
For Android users, a Top 3 Merchants feature has been added. It highlights the businesses where users have spent the most over the past 12 months. The feature is designed to prompt reflection—and maybe a few surprises—about spending patterns. iOS compatibility is expected soon.
More transparency on account features and earnings
Additional updates include a new section in the “Me” tab that outlines a user’s current account plan, including benefits, limits, and insurance coverage. The app also introduces a tool to help users track their current account remuneration, showing what conditions must be met to earn interest or bonuses, and providing a historical view of what has already been earned.
Altogether, the app update marks a continued push by Sumeria to blend personalization, interactivity, and financial education within its digital ecosystem.
