Innovation presentation

O2 Banking is a joint-venture by Fidor Bank and Telefónica Germany: It’s a quick and easy banking service via a mobile app, combined with innovative additional services from the O2 mobile contract. This partnership is the first truly disruptive alliance in Germany between a successful digital telecoms company and an innovative digital bank. It gives customers the best of two digital worlds. O2 Banking provides a full German bank account, including a MasterCard with a contactless function – totally controllable via smartphone. There are unlimited payments per credit card, and cash withdrawals available all over the world. Transactions can be made using a mobile phone number or an email address instead of an IBAN - that's a smart, user-friendly alternative to a conventional credit transfer. O2 Banking also features an intuitive, mobile user interface, a detailed overview of transactions, small instant loans, and push notifications. It just takes a few minutes to open an O2 banking account via VideoIdent – especially with O2 customer data. O2 Banking customers get free additional data packages – prepaid and postpaid – which they can use flexible. Higher usage means higher data bonuses.
