As physical retail-banking gets more and more difficult, we are constantly searching for new ways to innovate and update our business. Our concept "friends in banks" combines digital and non-digital banking by providing an online bank-clerk-finder which takes into account our clients personal interests. We ask questions like "what is your favourite spot in the City?", "How do like to spend yout vacation?" or "You find 100 € - What do you do?". Questions and answer-choices are rooted in several underlying academical concets like psychological theories etc. During internal onboarding our bank-clerks answered the same questions as our potential clients on the website friends-in-banks.de and with the help of an detailed algorithym a best match in provided to our Clients - a "friend" in our bank. The underlying rational is that trust and sympathy is essential in Banking, where products are more or less replaceable.
