Merchants insights is an innovative self-service platform available to the bank's partners (merchants) enabling them to build targeted campaigns based on real data insights while offering to the consumers a new era loyalty program. Specifically, the platform enables partners to utilize data in order to create and deliver targeted promotions based on consumers spending behaviours. At the same time, they can gain insights regarding post-promotion results to optimize promotion strategies, using real transaction data to understand customers' purchase behaviour. Merchant Insights platform came to enable the monetization of banking data for retail purposes, redefining the banking loyalty program to a next-generation model that is similar to social media promotion models -NBG is the first bank to do that in Greece.
