Banco do Brasil (BB) affords to its customers the consent of Open Finance on WhatsApp. BB was the 1st bank in the world to use the messaging application to complete the consent journey by its customers.

BB has been leading Open Finance in Brazil, even before the beginning of the regulatory implementation started in 2021: Banco do Brasil was the first bank in Latin America to carry out a structured Open Banking operation, with the launch in June 2017 of the Developer Portal and were the first institution to establish a business Open Banking partnership (Conta Azul) in Brazil. In its current format, BB was the first institution to carry out the full consent journey (August/21) and the first large bank enabled to operate as a payment initiator, for example.

For Banco do Brasil, offering consent of Open Banking in a new digital channel contributes to the improvement of customer satisfaction and the expansion of customers who subscribe to Open Finance. It is also oportunities to offer consent as a conversational context in others contracting journey or consulting financial products, such as credit card or personal loan, for example.
Customers now have the convenience of a channel that they use more and more in their daily lives.
