RegAgri Explorer – tool for environmental impact reduction of food companies Qorus Banking Innovation Awards 2023

Food industry facing a new challenge concerning environmental impact and its reduction reporting in its value chain. There is a knowledge gap but also lack of reliable tools supporting planning of GHG emission reduction and removals in supply chains. RegAgri Explorer is first in Europe tool to estimate carbon soil sequestration for land used for agriculture. It’s user-friendly IT tool for easy presentation of soil carbon sequestration potential in selected cultivation area with presentation of human impact on climate changes. It present also how different practices of regenerative farming change CO2 soil absorption. Tool is based on satellite imaginery, soil fertility maps, public and private data of historical use of land. In few steps get estimation of CO2 amount which can be absorbed in this area. Tools are available free of charge in Agronomist platform as unique solution with non-financial benefits for food industry valuable in their way to sustainability.
