As part of its business and digital strategy, Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) has set a mission to provide everyday transaction banking solutions that are nimble, secure and easy for its clients to use and for partners to connect with. This mission could only be achieved through an effective implementation of a series of strategic initiatives that positions CBD as a Digital Commercial Bank. One of the transformation initiatives is Reimagining Mobile Banking for Corporate Clients. The bank has conducted an outside-in assessment of its digital capabilities across the different products verticals of transaction banking. Focusing on Mobile Banking for corporate clients, the challenge was articulated across two main findings: • The existing application offering and user experience lagged well behind benchmarked global and local banks in scope (total 10) • The existing application was only accessible on iOS and responsive to Mobile devices only, affecting the scalability and penetration to the Android users (78.71% in the UAE) To expedite the time to market, the program has been delivered in agile. A squad has been identified and a scope has been agreed based on customer feedback and market trends. Through a series of MVP releases, Commercial Bank of Dubai has launched a corporate mobile app tailored to the needs of Corporate, Institutional and Business Banking clients.
