Travel Insurance via the AIB Mobile Banking App Qorus Innovation in Insurance Awards 2018

AIB has the top ranked mobile banking App in Ireland, and we are constantly working to make it even better, giving customers access to what they need, when they need it. AIB is the first and only bank in Ireland to offer customers the opportunity to get a quote and buy a travel insurance policy, all within their secure banking App. The customer journey has been seamlessly integrated into our App using APIs, allowing customers to effortlessly purchase their insurance cover in just a few simple steps. This innovation allows us to offer an on-demand service that is woven into our customers’ everyday lives and delivers the following customer benefits: • Convenience – get a quote and take out a policy without leaving the mobile banking App • Simplicity – we know some information about our customers already, so we have cut down the questions we need to ask and made it easier and quicker for the customer! We have also offered easy to understand options for cover • Effortlessness – No card to hand? No problem! Payment is made directly from the customer’s AIB account For six months, the AIB Insurance team, AIB Mobile Banking team and lots of other AIB stakeholders worked closely with our insurance partners, Chubb, to bring this product to life. This is the first time the AIB Mobile Banking App has integrated a sales journey for a financial product offered by a third party provider.
