Innovation presentation
The "GiveDataBack" initiative came from the belief that the data held by AXA is an under -exploited resource where it is not fully benefitting the AXA stakeholders (customers, shareholders, civil society, etc.). In the age of social networks and collaborative economics, AXA opted for transparency by publicizing the analysis and consolidation of its claims and policy data. for seven European countries (Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, UK, Italy and Switzerland) on two specific risks. The objective was to enable users, both customers and non-customers, through a greater understanding to better protect their homes by preventing the two most frequent risks: water damage and theft. GiveDataBack.com is a web site that allows entering an address. The application will return: • The associated probability of theft and water damage • The relative frequency • The average cost • The riskiest months • Prevention actions to prevent the risk exposure or limit the impact of claims In a collaborative way, it is possible for users to propose additional prevention tips. Many insurers make available public data for road prevention purpose, however, AXA is the first and only insurer to give their own data back, for Corporate responsibility purposes. The application was developed by a internal team made of Property and Casualty, Innovation and Data experts. In addition, they worked closely with AXA entities' representatives. GiveDataBack has been running since Oct 2017 with 216,000 visits.
