Environmental Impact Service launched by Caixa Enginyers Qorus-Infosys Finacle Banking Innovation Awards 2024

The project consist of building a tool for our member that calculates the carbon and water footprint of the transactions they carry out, encouraging ecological purchasing decisions and contributing to global environmental protection efforts.

The tool helps Caixa Enginyers-Caja Ingenieros members to understand the environmental impact of their card payments and direct debit receipts, so that if they wish, they can take actions to reduce their carbon and water footprint without affecting their quality of life. (reduction of unnecessary electricity expenditure, going to renewable energies, promotion of public and/or electric transport, etc...) Several internal departments were involved in the project, including Global Risk Management, Marketing and Communication, Security and Digital Development, among others.
