Generali Hungary Request to Pay Qorus-NTT DATA Innovation in Insurance Awards 2025

Request-to-pay (RTP) is a new easier initiation of instant payment transfer method – operated by the Hungarian banking sector - within our clients smartbank.

We implemented this new, innovative payment method in the reminder process, and our concept is to accelerate the collection of our receivables and to give a new, convenient payment option for our customers to pay their premiums. Our objective is to increase paying willingness, thereby reducing the expenses which come from the collection process. Implementing RTP also aims to increase customer satisfaction.

In the insurance sector, apart from two bancassurers, Generali Hungary is the first one implementing the RTP as a payment option, which provides us with a significant competitive advantage. The departments involved are Finance Department and Premium Collection Management Department. The Finance Department integrated the RTP into their reminder process, and both departments benefit from the innovation as it has reduced the amount of extra work collecting overdue premiums.

Since the June 2024 release, we have collected more than 2 million euros.
