Concept and Objectives My VIP Care™ was created to transform the traditional international health insurance model into a fully customizable experience. The objective was clear: move away from rigid, pre-packaged plans and empower clients—through authorized agents—to design coverage aligned with their specific healthcare needs and financial priorities. The project also aimed to digitize and streamline the entire quoting, application, and issuance process.

Reasons Behind the Initiative The international health insurance market often forces clients to choose between limited standardized options. We identified a growing demand for flexibility, transparency in pricing, and greater control over benefit selection. Clients wanted personalization without sacrificing comprehensive protection.

State of Competition Most competitors continue to offer fixed-plan structures with minimal adaptability. True modular customization with real-time pricing transparency remains limited in the international private medical insurance space, particularly in Latin America.

Sources of Inspiration The project was inspired by consumer-driven personalization models seen in other industries—where clients expect to build products around their preferences—and by the need to enhance the advisory role of independent agents.

Departments Involved Product development, marketing, underwriting, IT/digital development, sales, compliance, and operations collaborated to create the platform and benefit structure.

Main Results So Far Within the first month of launch, 879 quotes were generated, policies were issued across multiple countries, and over USD 121,500 in new business was achieved—demonstrating strong market acceptance and demand.
