Lunar has launched cryptocurrency trading in Norway through Lunar Block, its Scandinavian crypto trading platform. This allows Norwegian users to securely buy and sell digital assets directly within the Lunar app, combining traditional and digital financial services in one place.

Crypto growth in Norway

Cryptocurrency adoption is on the rise in Norway, with 9-11% of Norwegians now owning digital assets—primarily those under 40. Despite this, 73% of Norwegians report knowing “very little” or “quite little” about cryptocurrencies. Lunar Block aims to bridge this knowledge gap by offering a secure and user-friendly platform to simplify crypto investing.

“With Lunar Block, we’re excited to provide Norwegians a secure and regulated way to trade crypto directly in the Lunar app,” says Kåre Kjelstrom, CTO at Lunar. “This helps users manage their entire financial portfolio in one place.”

Key features of Lunar Block

Lunar Block offers several standout features:

• Seamless Trading: Buy and sell crypto directly in the Lunar app without external platforms.

• Access to Popular Coins: Includes stablecoins and top cryptocurrencies.

• Tax Support: Year-end summaries and guides simplify tax reporting.

• Competitive Rates: Best rates from over 70 exchanges and volume-based pricing.

A secure, regulated platform

Lunar Block complies with Norwegian and European regulations, including MiCA, ensuring users a safe and transparent trading experience. The introduction of its first stablecoin further expands investment options with reduced volatility.

By integrating crypto into its app, Lunar is simplifying access to digital assets, empowering Norwegians to manage traditional and crypto investments seamlessly.
