Innovation presentation
Since 2007, La Banque Postale suggests, everywhere in France, a personal microcredit offer, in partnership with associations or specialized public structures, mandated to investigate and support projects run by private persons excluded from the banking system due to their poor creditworthiness. In 10 years, La Banque Postale disbursed over 12 400 microcredits for an aggregate amount of almost 30 million euros, proposed by 150 social or associative partners covering almost 70 departments on the French territory. This growth of the activity has accelerated since 2014, thanks to the development of partnerships with social and associative structures, the promotion of microcredit realized by La Banque Postale’s Appui service and La Banque Postale financing subsidiary specialized in the consumer credit, which steer clients “refusal of consumer credit”. To pursue the microcredit development, to provide better support to the social and associative partner network and to guarantee better deadlines of proper answers for the beneficiaries, it became necessary for La Banque Postale to set up a new distribution model. By becoming the patron of Créasol, through a financial, human and institutional support, La Banque Postale provides the resources to expedite the access to this financing solution adapted to clients in a financial vulnerability situation. This instructional solution of financing and 100% digital microcredit management was designed to significantly reduce the granting delays.
