Bank Central Asia (BCA) is the largest private bank in Indonesia, with the core business of transaction banking. BCA offers a full range of financial services in consumer, SME, commercial and corporate segments. As of March 2022, BCA has the privilege of serving more than 30 million customer accounts, processing around 60 million daily transactions through a network of 1,241 branches, 18,050 ATMs, and the 24-hour internet & mobile banking systems; supported by 24/7 Halo BCA contact center. With more than 25,000 employees, BCA’s vision is to be the bank of choice and a major pillar of the Indonesian economy. The successes and achievements of BCA throughout the years cannot be separated from the hard work and commitment of a strong and capable workforce. BCA is committed to maintaining high competent and agile human capital through learning & development for all employees. BCA strives to enhance the capabilities of its more than 25,000 employees by equipping them with the skills and competencies to perform to a high standard as the BCA representative. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost 90% of learning at BCA was conducted face-to-face at BCA Learning Institute (BLI). BLI is a learning place for BCA employees that can accommodate 2,000 training participants daily. BLI is a form of BCA's commitment to providing learning facilities & support learning for employees. One of the learning objects in BLI is BCA Gallery. BCA Gallery is a means to instill BCA values into BCA's next generation and a place to learn about the history of BCA. There are various collections and information about BCA through multiple media in the Gallery. BCA Gallery is also a place where new employees also other companies can learn about BCA’s journey. During this pandemic, BCA Gallery does not allow direct visits. However, people still need to learn about the history & journey of BCA, either internal or external BCA. BCA saw this matter as an opportunity, a challenge, to provide the best solution to overcome the problem. Therefore, BCA took the initiative to innovate by developing Virtual Learning Tour with 360° Virtual Reality (VR) technology. In this BCA’s Virtual Learning Tour, BCA also shows all the facilities at BLI along with their explanations, including inside the Gallery. Through this Virtual Tour, visitors can walk around & enjoy the real atmosphere of BLI. Before the pandemic, specifically in 2019, 8.882 people and 73 companies visited BCA Gallery. During the pandemic, there were 0 visits. And after the VR Tour is launched, people can visit BLI & BCA Gallery virtually, and the number is increasing. However, after the existence of the BCA’s Virtual Learning Tour during this pandemic, in 1 online visit, 1 Tour Guide can guide more than 100 visitors. And this online visit only takes about 20 minutes. This innovation is proved very effective and efficient. The remaining time visitors have can also be used for a question and answer session.
