Our partnership with JupViec, the “Uber for maids” in Vietnam, provides gig workers with “JupViec Care” – personal accident stackable micro policies starting at just SGD$0.12 per job. This helps protect domestic helpers, many of whom are sole breadwinners, from financial hardship caused by covering their own medical expenses. In Vietnam, where over 50% of the workforce is informal, this is a crucial step towards achieving financial mobility for variable income earners. As Southeast Asia's gig economy is projected to soar to a whopping US$300 billion by 2025, it is imperative that we prioritize the support and protection of these hardworking individuals and their livelihoods.
