According to Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’ data1 as of 2023, MSMEs play a huge role in Indonesia's economic growth. With the number reaching 99% of all business units and contribute 61% of Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). MSMEs absorb around 117 million workers (97%) of the total workforce. In term of supporting MSMEs as economy’s National backbone, BCA presents an incubation platform to supporting and bring our MSMEs customer to enter the International Market, which called MSMEs BCA Go Export program.
Access to Market became one of the big challenges to Indonesia MSMEs, struggle to expand their product to international market. Together with Government, MSMEs BCA Go Export Program held in Semarang & Yogyakarta, with total 60 MSMEs participated in 2023. BCA provided 6 steps journey, from edoing internal market research, curated & incubation process, open access to International Market & bridging to the potential buyers, join International event, until monitoring the dealing process. Exciting news, our Go export participant managed to get a deal value of more than USD 6 thousands. BCA's commitment to continue developing this program, we continue to support MSME players with expanding our coverage across other cities, especially on Java. On 2024 we targeted to bring this program into 3 big cities on Java Island, and also we continue to connect our previous members located in Semarang & Yogyakarta to more international buyers (150% YoY location growth).
As in 2024, we expected to help our MSMEs customer to get total deal value of around USD 200 thousands (2900% YoY growth) compared to USD 6 thousands in 2023.
