Hello bank! the first European mobile-native digital bank Qorus Banking Innovation Awards 2013

BNP Paribas launched in May 2013 its digital bank in 4 European countries: Hello bank!. Local teams adapted the Hello bank! strategy and core values (SIMPLE, SMART, HUMAN, SAFE) defined with a small central task force to country specifics in agile mode. They relied on BNP Paribas teams to realize design to launch in 9 months. Digital, mobile native and European at the same time, Hello bank! represents a new approach to banking, designed to meet the needs of consumers for fast, easy, always-on mobile and internet banking. Hello bank! was launched in May in Belgium and Germany, in June in France and will start in Italy in October 2013. The aim is to serve 1.4 million clients in 5 years across the 4 countries. All 4 countries are facing a similar evolution: consumer become more and more used to digital media for daily needs. Banking is not an exception. A growing number of people appreciate the possibility to perform transactions without going to a branch or talking to an advisor, anytime and anywhere. They expect immediate information and advice from their bank. BNP Paribas decided to target this specific and growing segment of consumers and thus complement its existing local retail setups with: - a dedicated organisation & brand, - modern interfaces, - reviewed or new products & services, - digital functionalities & media and - tone of voice.
