sijox AppDrive is the telematics car insurance for young people by the Signal Iduna Insurance Group, Germany. With AppDrive the insurance customer is in charge of how much he saves on his car insurance – up to 40% on the premium is possible. To monitor the driver’s performance, AppDrive uses the TomTom Link 100 OBD2-connector. The data is transmitted via Bluetooth to the AppDrive App, which connects to a server that evaluates the performance and shows an overall score. AppDrive monitors three key indications: acceleration force, brake force and apex speed.
