Innovation presentation

Among the initiatives that CaixaBank is carrying out to digitally transform the processes for corporate banking, one of the most relevant ones is the Digital registration of legal representatives, which allows company representatives to register with the bank from anywhere via the digital channel, therefore this process allows for registering resident and non-resident representatives, complying with the remote identification standard approved by SEPBLAC.

Its main goal is to facilitate the process of registering users, offering all the procedures that are currently carried out in branch, in a digital manner, improving both the customer experience and that of the branch employees. Likewise, it has been designed to facilitate the traceability and transparency of the process, minimising possible operational errors. The registration is available in three languages (Spanish, Catalan and English),

The registration process consists of the following steps: Step 1: Contemplates the collection of personal data and contact details of the applicant, together with the company details. Step 2: In which the identity validation process is carried out by means of video identification. Step 3: Aimed for the customer to confirm the data entered using the form, by entering a verification code that is generated automatically and sent to the user via SMS. Once the code entered by the customer has been verified, the system confirms the data entered and automatically sends a welcome e-mail to said customer, providing the steps to follow in order to complete access to the company accounts. Finally, and with the aim of guaranteeing the E2E of the process, the bank proceeds to request proof of the sufficiency of powers bestowed to the legal representative by the company, therefore indicating that said representative has the necessary powers to manage the company's banking matters.
