The product was designed to basically cater to the payment requirements of corporate customers. Corporate customers generally face challenges in managing & making payments in bulk and looking for a solution which eases their day-to-day operations. They are also looking for a solution which can integrate with their own systems to reduce manual intervention.
UNION PAY PLUS is specifically designed to overcome these hurdles by providing SFTP & API integration and multi-level authentication. UNION PAY PLUS is blended with the latest security features like AES encryption for SFTP & API integration. Customers can also create ‘n’ no. of approval levels based on amount range for better control on transaction processing
The concept is to provide a reliable and secured access and control to corporate customers on their bank accounts.
The objective was achieved through APPA application which provides an interface for corporate customers to Bank’s core solution for handling transactions of their account.
This inspiration stems from the commitment that the Bank wish to assure the quality of service to corporate customers. Internet Banking application of the Bank being a common platform pose constraints to corporates in integration with their systems. The commitment to the customers inspired to overcome such challenges through APPA application.
The application has been designed and developed to perform direct seamless integration between corporate systems and Bank’s core solution with industry standard security.
The application window enables corporates to initiate payments from their accounts as and when required without the need of Bank’s intervention.
Available modes of integration in the application are: o Application Programming Interface (API) o Host to Host connectivity (H2H) / Secured File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) o Manual File Upload
APPA application handles: o Transfers to accounts within the Bank o Transfer to other bank accounts (via NEFT/RTGS)
The Application provides pre-defined approval levels – Maker, Checker and Releaser. The approval levels are customizable as per specific user requirements.
APPA application empowers users with user interface having self-service capabilities like o Upload of files o Administrative controls for user creation/deletion/modification, role assignment o Debit Account configuration
Additionally, an utility has been developed specifically for digitally signing the payment files for SFTP integration.
More than 150 corporates have been onboarded by Corporate Relationship Cell on this portal within a year from its inception.
On an average, more than 3000 transactions are processed per day in APPA application aggregating close to Rs. 1,800 Crores every month.
