Innovation presentation

AXA Italy enters schools alongside Fondazione Una Nessuna Centomila with the affectivity education and awareness-raising project against gender violence ‘La fatica di essere medie’. The project touches 20 schools in 12 Italian regions, from November 2024 to March 2025. At the heart of the initiative, the younger generations and crucial topics for their lives and for society in general, such as the existential condition of pre-adolescents and the complex phenomenon of digital violence. The protagonists, girls and boys from Italy secondary schools, caught in a phase of life - pre-adolescence - that is particularly complex, but also crucial in terms of growth, self-awareness and fundamental in the dynamics of preventing phenomena linked to gender violence, bullying and cyberbullying. During the meetings, thanks to figures such as trainers, educators, operators of anti-violence centres, we try to answer some questions starting from the collective vision of the short film ‘101%’ by Serena Corvaglia, in collaboration with the State Police, presented at the Venice Film Festival 2024, focus on the existential condition of young students, on their sentimental insecurities and talk about their ‘digital life’, trying to analyse the symptoms of a toxic relationship and the conditioning of certain models widespread in society and the complex phenomenon of digital violence. A moment of dialogue, focusing on the role of art as a language capable of opening a reflection on complex issues and which can stimulate emotional storytelling, critical thinking and relationship management against stereotypes. An opportunity to raise awareness among the younger generations and encourage positive change in society on fundamental issues such as inclusion, female empowerment and the fight against violence against women. Protagonists of the initiatives, also AXA Italy agents from the different territories, joining actively the format.
