About
ReciBox is a new online and multi device service that represents a revolution of bill payment in Europe
Innovation presentation
ReciBox is the first service in the European banking industry that offers value added services for managing customer’s bills. With ReciBox we have created a multi-device leader service with a friendly user interface, which adds distinctive interactive features. ReciBox service is integrated with the home banking but at the same time offers a unique user experience. ReciBox has been created by and for our customers. We were receiving suggestions regarding the sophistication and evolution of our bill service in our internal customer forum called “Inspira’ns”. In addition to these suggestions, we conducted user tests and a validation of the platform in a beta version (Family&Friends’ pilot), in order to build the most suitable product for our customers.
CaixaBank offers ReciBox, which is free and exclusive, to retail customers that belong to the loyalty program called ‘multiEstrella’. These customers are the ones that are more engaged with the Bank.
With ReciBox customers have many advantages, such as:
● Being able to compare their bills in an easy and innovative way
● Making easy the communication with issuing companies
● Warning them about the forthcoming bills through the advanced alert system
ReciBox has more than 780.000 users. It is also remarkable to say that ReciBox is a multi-device service and that we have more than 160.000 downloads of our native Android, iPhone and iPad Apps.
Uniqueness of the project
Taking into account the main features that our customers expected in terms of managing their bills, ReciBox offers unique services structured into 3 blocks:
1. Managing and controlling standing orders: everything related to the operational management of bills, such as an advanced dashboard, a calendar view or an auto-categorization system of the bills.
2. Avoiding surprises: a set of functionalities built to warn customers from receiving unexpected bills (mainly 10 multi-channel specific alerts to send information about any important event related to a customer’s bills, and the possibility of managing standing orders prior to charging).
3. Making communication with issuing companies easier: customers can directly interact with their issuing companie. They also have detailed charts with annual and aggregated spending on every issuing company and they can find useful information on how to complain about bills and invoices.
