The artificial intelligence powered bot – named Kiki We had taken a very interesting approach to mobile banking using the very latest emerging approaches to build a very unique service which we believe at the scale offered is the first in the world. The service essentially utilizes conversational UIs to engage customers across multiple Messaging platforms. Messaging platforms are very popular around the world and a significant proportion of users spend time on one or more of the IM services daily communicating with friends, family and business associates. Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp each have over a billion active users. The behavioral shift means that more emphasis would continue to shift to conversational UIs; text and voice. More and more people spend time within the Messaging services hence a plausible place to perform financial transactions similar to chatting with friends will be on social chat platforms. The ChatPay service has a bot named Kiki and interacts with users to perform all their financial transactions. ChatPay was designed to be available through messaging platform services and enable customers of all banks in Nigeria use the service by registering with their debit/credit cards and/or bank account numbers. ChatPay is available on Facebook Messenger, Skype, Telegram, WeChat and Twitter. Utilizing the bot services on these platforms, we have enabled a very interactive service fueled by artificial intelligence capabilities to keep the conversation natural and highly personalized.
