Innovation presentation
As from 1 March 2023, Generali has launched the new "Health&Welfare" organisational unit: a unique model on the Italian market in line with international best practices that combines the Health and Accident business segments for Retail, Corporate and Employee Benefits (Collective) clients in a single hub, with an integrated offer for prevention and health protection for families, workers and businesses. The unit will be dedicated to the development of the best customer experience for customers, agents and distributors, thanks to a modular offering that combines: innovative insurance solutions and services; a fully integrated operating model between commercial development, pricing & underwriting, claims management and services; and access to the network of healthcare facilities in the territory.

Uniqueness of the project
The insured person who buys the STARBENE package, among all the services can take advantage of the digital service "Benefit" provided through the App "Welion benefit". The digital Benefit program was created to support prevention and education to healthier lifestyles in an effective and intuitive way. The service accompanies and stimulates the user to reach their individual goals of well-being and to earn points in two ways: by filling out questionnaires - for an assessment of the state of health, eating and behavioural habits - and through physical activity - recorded via fitness devices (e.g. wearable) - that allows you to overcome weekly challenges and win rewards. Thanks to the points earned, the policyholder can progressively increase their "Benefit status" (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) which are associated with increasing levels of prizes and a series of commercial offers reserved. The app also allows you to convert vouchers won into donations to The Human Safety Net.
Employees of customer companies can activate the service from their Customer Area by clicking on the widget dedicated to Benefit and following the steps indicated. To inform insured employees about the functionality of the service and the activation process, dedicated communication materials are available (communication templates available to companies for sending to their employees).
